Student Advice + Wellbeing
“We are a dedicated and committed team providing direction, advice and guidance to our whole student community. We help with money matters, counselling, mental health and wellbeing, disability issues, international advice and sexual violence support, amongst many other areas. In addition, we offer dedicated support to those who are care-experienced or who care for others. We work within the city to secure accommodation for students and to ensure that they stay safe whilst out and about.
Safeguarding of students is of paramount importance to the university, and this falls within Student Advice and Wellbeing. When students come to university, they are classed as adults, but we are all human, and from time to time, we all need support, so occasionally, when our students need a little bit more, we are also the team that can provide that."
Report and Support
Report and Support is LJMU's harassment and sexual misconduct reporting platform. This is not an emergency service. If there is an immediate risk of serious harm, please call the emergency services on 999. You can also contact the University security team on (0151) 231 2222 (or 2222 from an internal phone).
