Moore Student Radio Wins An Amplify Award for Most Supportive Students Union or University!!

The Committee of Moore Student Radio travelled from Liverpool to Salford on 1st April 2025 for the yearly SRA Conference held at Salford University.

Over the 3 day conference, the team attended the 2025 Amplify Awards where Moore Student Radio were nominated for 2 awards.

They were;

Most Improved Station
Most Supportive University or Students Union

It was announced that Moore Student Radio had won the Amplify Award 2025 for Most Supportive University or Students Union!!

Station Manager Zoe Woodward said "Big Thanks go to Lottie Tudge and Tom Rigby from JMSU for all their hard work they have done this year to get the radio station off the ground"

Deputy Station Manager Jack Bostock added "What an incredible three days it has been! Not only to walk away with an award, but also to recognise our incredible University and Students' Union. It makes me proud to be from Liverpool!!"

Movember Recap 2025

Moore Student Radio raised a staggering £3169 for Movember this year. Movember is a charity that aims to break the stigma around men's health, raising awareness and providing support for mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. The team here at Moore student radio fully supports the initiative.
BENCHES, BINGO AND BIG HEART: MEGA MO FUNDRAISER AT BIERKELLER

In efforts to raise money for Movember, Moore Student Radio hosted a Mega Mo Fundraiser at Bierkeller. With plenty of cheers, dancing, and singing, radio members brought friends along to enjoy a quiz, bingo, and a raffle with big prizes—all while completing the team’s milestones. The event combined entertainment, competition, and charity, raising an impressive £3,200 for men’s mental and physical health initiatives.
